1950s? PLATE, HAWLEY METHODIST CHURCH, PINE BLUFF, ARKANSAS

THIS IS AN OLDER COLLECTORS PLATE OF "HAWLEY MEMORIAL METHODIST CHURCH, PINE BLUFF, ARKANSAS". THE PLATE IS APRX 10 1/4" DIAMETER AND HAS A MAROON UNDERGLAZE. THE FRONT DEPICTS THE CHURCH AND THE REVERSE READS: AS A RESULT OF A COTTAGE PRAYER MEETING OF 5 ADULTS AND 8 CHILDREN IN 1902, A STORE BUILDING WAS RENTED AT 7TH AND HICKORY FOR SUNDAY SCHOOL AND CHURCH SERVICES. IN 1904, THE PRESENT TWO LOTS ON THE CORNER OF 11TH AND CYPRESS STREETS WERE PURCHASED AND A FRAME CHURCH BUILDING ERECTED. FROM 1904-1912 THE MEMBERSHIP INCREASED FROM 90 TO 300 MEMBERS. IN 1924 THE PRESENT BRICK STRUCTURE WAS ERECTED; IT BEING COMPLETELY REMODELED IN 1946. THE EDUCATIONAL BUILDING WAS OFFICIALLY OPENED JULY 19, 1953. (and) WORLDWIDE ART STUDIOS, COVINGTON, TENN. BY THE NOTATION, LOOKS TO BE FROM THE 1950s, BUT I AM NOT SURE. IT IS IN GREAT CONDITION -- NOT CRACKED OR CHIPPED. RIM HAS A METALLIC GOLD UNDERGLAZE.
